Several Norwegian companies have jumped on the social media bandwagon, but my overall impression remains that most companies are still struggling to see the benefits of investing time and money on activities such as blogging, twittering and Facebook marketing. In my opinion businesses needs to be ready for two-way communication, before even considering creating any social media accounts. Listening to what your potential customers have to say about your values and products is key to social media success.

When I was young my grandfather had a cell phone the size of a rolling suitcase. It weighed an estimated 5kg and had very poor battery performance. These days children get their own cell phones before they reach secondary school. Cell phones are with us everywhere, and we spend a lot of time to get updated on more or less important things on the Internet.
Websites designed for large screens can be a pain to navigate on mobile devices such as iPhones. Webdesigners should therefore consider creating alternative layouts to ensure optimal user experience for users on the move.

I just stumbled over this advertising campaign that made me smile. Advertising agency GPYR Brisbane (Australia) created this for RSPCA, a community based charity that works to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.
